June 21, 2010 – A rice project will soon be launched in the three member countries of the Economic Community of the Great Lakes Countries (CEPGL) – Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. Modern agricultural methods such as irrigation and fertilizers will be used to boost rice production. IFDC’s CATALIST project signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CEPGL earlier this year.
