Seed Trade Reforms to Drive Agricultural Growth

Lusaka, Zambia – A Seed Certification Technical Workshop was held in Lusaka, Zambia, to discuss removing obstacles to seed trade in East and southern Africa. Reforming seed trade will strengthen smallholder farmers’ access to improved seeds.

The workshop was hosted by the Alliance for Commodity Trade in Eastern and Southern Africa (ACTESA), primary implementer of COMESA’s Regional Agro-Inputs Programme (COMRAP). IFDC is implementing the agro-dealer development component of COMRAP in association with the Agricultural Market Development Trust.
