CATANDICA, Mozambique – Mozambican farmers using improved seeds are seeing increased crop yields. Funded by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, an IFDC project in Mozambique is strengthening agro-dealer networks to make improved seed and other inputs available to rural farmers.

Last year, 25,000 farmers in northern Mozambique had access to information on hybrid seed, according to Gil Mucave, manager of the Mozambique Agro-Dealer Development project. Mucave hopes to reach 60,000 in 2011.
