Northern Farmers Complain of High Cost of Farming

TAMALE, Ghana – Farmers at a forum in northern Ghana voiced concerns that high interest rates, poor road infrastructure and expensive agro-inputs may affect the country’s food production.

Dr. Kofi Debrah, IFDC country representative, suggested that farmers utilize the new mFarm initiative, an application that facilitates information-sharing among farmers, agro-dealers, aggregators and the transport sector.
