Entrepreneurial Skills Development Training for Farmers Underway in Yendi

YENDI, Ghana – IFDC is conducting an eight-day workshop to improve the technical skills of farmer-based organizations and small and medium enterprises in Ghana’s Northern Region. Training topics focus on business managment and entrepreneurship development.

The training is organized through the Agricultural Value Chain Mentorship Project (AVCMP), which is funded by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) through the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). AVCMP is implemented by IFDC, the Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (SARI) and the Ghana Agricultural Associations Business and Information Center (GAABIC).

According to Eric Doe, IFDC business development officer, AVCMP is supporting the private sector to serve as a catalyst for increased agricultural production in order to increase incomes and employment in the Northern Region and contribute to overall food security in the country.
