IFDC – 35 Years On

On March 14, the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) celebrated the 35th anniversary of its designation as a ‘public international organization’ (PIO) by Executive Order 11977, signed by President Jimmy Carter in 1977. Originally created in October 1974 and established as a private, non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, IFDC has expanded its mission beyond that of being a center of excellence in fertilizer servicing the needs of developing countries.
