Use of FDP in Bangladesh has proven to increase production and incomes across the value chain. Since 2009 the technology has been implemented in Africa and is now part of projects across 17 countries in SSA. When used with improved water management practices and seeds, farmers can receive up to an additional yearly income of $400/hectare (ha). And while FDP has been used most widely on rice, initial field trials indicate that the technology is well-suited for other cereal crops and vegetables.
