Today I am honored to join the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) as president and CEO. With great excitement and a humble spirit, I welcome the opportunity to continue my work with farmers and agricultural businesspeople around the world.

Soil fascinates me. As a soil scientist, I focus on phytoremediation and the use of recycled waste products to improve soil fertility. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with farmers and researchers on soils around the world, namely in Egypt and West Africa. These experiences broadened my knowledge and gave me the opportunity to share my expertise on soil health.

My career as an educator and administrator centers around agricultural collegiate management. For the past 10 years, I was dean of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia. Prior, I held several positions at the University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The future of global agriculture depends on young people. Tapping into this powerful workforce stimulates innovation achieving food security worldwide.

I look forward to being part of a global organization dedicated to fostering healthy soils and vibrant agricultural markets. IFDC has a rich and dynamic 40 plus year history. Moving forward, we will build on this legacy into the next era of agricultural development.
