Graphic Artist/Web Designer
“My passion is to see people reach their full potential in this life. If I can help them along the way, then I have been successful.”
Heather Gasaway began working at IFDC in 2009 as a Graphic Artist/Web Designer. She is currently responsible for the design, development and management of IFDC’s website, ifdc.org. In addition, she manages IFDC’s internal SharePoint site and assists with print publications.
Gasaway brings a unique set of skills and background to IFDC. She began her career in Southern California at a year-round youth sports organization called Kare Youth League, which was founded by her grandfather in 1931. She spent 11 years with the organization, performing various roles, including coaching young athletes, administrative positions, graphic and web design, event coordination and fundraising campaigns. While in California, she also spent time at the Los Angeles Times. In 2008, she moved across the country and worked for several small companies before joining IFDC.
In the past six years, Gasaway has redesigned IFDC’s website three times. She works to stay up-to-date on web, graphic design and social media trends and strives to keep IFDC at the forefront of communicative design.
Gasaway recently received the Amit Roy Outstanding Headquarters Staff Award. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism from California State University Fullerton and a master’s degree in Communications/New Media from Spring Arbor University.
