Anne Turner is the Chief of Party of the Private Seed Sector Development (PSSD) Project with posting to Bujumbura, Burundi. Anne is a senior technical expert in agricultural development with over 25 years of experience in the design, management, monitoring, and evaluation of development programs for USAID, UNHCR, UNEP, IITA, AfDB, the World Bank, DfID , Catholic Relief Services, Cornell University, and the World Vegetable Center. Her subjects of expertise include climate-smart agriculture, natural resource management, integrated pest management, sustainable crop production, post-harvest handling and processing, marketing, gender, disaster risk reduction, and resilience. She has worked in extensively in 24 countries in sub-Saharan Africa .  

Anne holds doctoral and master’s degrees in vegetable crops from Cornell University in the state of New York, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stanford University in California.
