IFDC is pleased to announce the official appointment of Dr. Neal Gutterson on July 1, 2024. Dr. Gutterson will serve as Chair-Elect until November 7, 2024, when he will assume the role of Board Chair.
Dr. Gutterson brings a wealth of experience in agricultural research, economic development, and technological innovation to IFDC. His expertise extends to sustainable farming practices and fostering farmer value through scientific advancement. His distinguished career includes key leadership positions such as Vice President of Research and Development at DuPont Pioneer and Chief Technology Officer of Corteva Agriscience.
Additionally, Dr. Gutterson has served on the boards of prominent organizations including CIMMYT, Mendel Biotechnology, Inc., GrassRoots Biotechnology, and the CGIAR System Board. Currently, he serves as the board chair of the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), serves on the boards of Trillium Ag, Meiogenix, and Pluton Bio, and is the Partner and Chief Technology Officer of Radicle Growth, a farmer and climate-focused venture fund.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gutterson’s focus has been on advancing farmer value through scientific innovation, strategic leadership, and a commitment to sustainable farming practices.
