Constance Munyenyembe joined IFDC in 2021 as an Atlas Corps Business Development Fellow in Washington, D.C. She assisted in designing programs aiming to promote agricultural growth and food and nutrition security in East and Southern Africa and raised IFDC’s profile in stakeholder engagements. Currently, she holds the position of Country Director for Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Prior to joining IFDC, Munyenyembe served as a Country Manager for the Africa Agribusiness Academy in Malawi, where she supported agripreneurs through capacity development and training, facilitated collaboration and mutual learning among all member businesses through various networking opportunities, and connected them to new markets and funding.

Munyenyembe is a 2018 alumna of the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF), the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). After receiving a grant from MWF at the University of Iowa, under the Business and Entrepreneurship track, Munyenyembe launched a mentorship and coaching program that saw the growth of several youth-led agribusinesses across Malawi.
