Mark Schneiders, CEO of KIT Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), joined the IFDC board in 2020. He is a seasoned financial sector professional with a successful track record in private equity, banking, and consulting. Since June 2014, he has brought his extensive experience in international banking in Africa, Asia, and South America to his role as head of KIT. He previously served in leadership roles with ING, Amicorp, and the African Development Corporation.
Schneiders’ experience with effective leadership has achieved positive results with diverse teams in Africa, Latin America, and Europe. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in emerging markets, including nine years of deep involvement across many African markets. That knowledge, along with his entrepreneurial skills, helps him create new corporate opportunities at KIT. In addition, he brings together parties to form new ventures, such as his leading involvement in the SDG House.
