Sameer Goel is an agriculturalist, economist, and management professional with 36 years of experience. At the time of his retirement, Sameer served as Managing Director for Coromandel International, a leading agriculture solution provider with operations in fertilizer, crop protection, bio and organic products, specialty nutrition, and rural retail networks. Sameer also held the position of Country Head at Cipla, the second-largest pharmaceutical company in India. Additionally, he spent 26 years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer, overseeing business across Africa, the Middle East, and India. His last position with GSK was Vice President, heading consumer business for the African continent and serving as a member of the GSK Consumer International Leadership Team.

Sameer was formerly a board member of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) and the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI). He has also been the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry, Telangana State. He completed his postgraduate diploma in business management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India in 1987 and completed his bachelor’s degree (honors) in economics from St. Stephens College, New Delhi, in 1984.

Currently, Sameer is managing his family business and two agriculture farms, which practice new methods of farming using AgTech and agronomy practices to produce commercial and horticultural crops.
