Sheila Komen Keino is the Executive Director of Sustain Africa at IFDC, which she joined in October 2024. As an Alumni of the University of Nairobi with over 20 years of experience across 20+ countries, Sheila champions African-adapted solutions in soil health, fertilizer access, and sustainable farming to advance resilience, food security, and inclusive economic growth. Her career spans from finance to global agriculture, evolving from Citibank to leadership roles at ICRAF, IOM, AGRA and AFAP. Sheila is a vocal advocate for youth inclusion, ensuring both women and men benefit from equitable food systems so that no one is left behind. A skilled resource mobilizer, she drives private sector engagement and innovation to transform agriculture across Africa.
