Tom Kehoe joined the IFDC Board in 2023 and is the Deputy Director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Agriculture Program. Tom Kehoe is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in agriculture and commercial strategy. He joined the foundation in June 2015 as deputy director in Agricultural Development, where he leads efforts to strengthen investment portfolios and realize productivity in dynamic markets. Previously, he served as managing director for Cargill’s Africa and Middle East business unit, where he oversaw the development and growth of agriculture-focused businesses across the continent. Tom has also led Cargill’s crop input distribution and grain origination strategy in the Black Sea region, as well as various leadership roles in Canada. With his understanding of the intersection of commercial and development objectives, Tom brings a wealth of expertise to the IFDC Board.
