April 6, 2010 – Since IFDC first introduced and extended urea deep placement technology in Bangladesh, its use has proven to increase yields and incomes while protecting the environment. Scientists from the Farm Machinery Division of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute have successfully developed a hand-operated urea supergranule applicator that greatly reduces the time and labor needed to apply the fertilizer.
