JUBA, South Sudan – A consortium of development partners, including the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Kingdom of the Netherlands, IFDC and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), signed a communiqué to promote food security and the development of the agricultural private sector in the new nation of South Sudan.
The communiqué was signed by Jim Bromley, AGRA chief operating officer; Dr. Amit Roy, IFDC president and CEO; Dr. Rajiv Shah, USAID administrator; and Robbert van Lanschot, first secretary of the Dutch Embassy in South Sudan. H. E. Anne Itto, South Sudan’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, served as a witness to the signing.
