Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, is advocating for a law that requires confectioneries to consist of 40 percent cassava and 60 percent wheat flour. The statement was made during an inspection of the Taraba State-owned Cassava Processing Plant.
Scott Wallace, IFDC country representative to Nigeria, was a member of the inspection team, which also included former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Bert Ronhaar, the Netherlands Ambassador to Nigeria.
