MAPUTO, Mozambique – Cervejas de Moçambique, a subsidiary of SABMiller Plc, has announced its new Impala beer, which is 70 percent cassava and 30 percent barely.
An estimated 40,000 tons of cassava will be used each year to produce the beer. This will provide employment to over 1,500 smallholder farmers and their families, who will receive technical assistance from IFDC.
