Dr. Amit Roy, IFDC president and CEO, accepts award on behalf of IFDC upon induction into the 2012 Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame. Presenting the award and congratulations is Chairman Maury Gaston. IFDC was the only corporation/organization inducted in 2012. Five individuals and two projects were also inducted. The awards ceremony was held February 18 in Huntsville, Alabama.
IFDC staff attending the Hall of Fame event were: Lisa Thigpen, editor of the Information and Communications Unit; Luisa De Faría, senior specialist – engineering; Timothy Karera, director of the Training and Workshop Unit; Vincent McAllister, ex-officio board member and legal counsel; Dr. Amit Roy, president and CEO; John Shields, Research and Development Division; Andrea Hovater, specialist – engineering; and Ramón Lazo de la Vega, senior engineer and program leader, Fertilizer Technology Program.
