Accra, Ghana – During the launch of the USAID West Africa Fertilizer Program, fertilizer importing companies were advised to deliver their goods in a timely manner and to set up storage facilities in remote areas.

The USAID West Africa Fertilizer Program is expected to establish a public-private sector West Africa Fertilizer Stakeholder Forum and a private sector-led West Africa Fertilizer Trade Association. “It will establish and monitor fertilizer quality standards to decrease incidents of adulterated fertilizer products,” said Dr. Kofi Debrah, chief of party of the program.
