Growing Peas and Greens to Maximize Water Usage

Intermittent prolonged dry spells across Kenya are causing the drying out of crops. To combat this, researchers recommend agrobiodiversity, the growing of vegetables and fruits. Because vegetable crops do not require large amounts of water, they are a good alternative to growing maize. Growing vegetables will not only aid in water preservation, but also address nutrition and health security.
