IFDC is celebrating World Water Day 2016 in an effort to promote climate-smart water management practices among smallholder farmers. Activities such as alternate wetting and drying (AWD) help farmers reduce water use by 30%, while drip irrigation techniques can help farmers achieve up to 95% water use efficiency. By enabling farmers to employ better water management techniques, we help them cut water-related costs while actively reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
