Decreasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while increasing water and nutrient efficiency in irrigated rice is one of our goals in Bangladesh. Made possible through the Accelerating Agriculture Productivity Improvement (AAPI) project, our practices and technologies have retained or increased yields while mitigating environmental impact.

The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) featured our work on their blog this week. Read how our Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) technique and our Urea Deep Placement (UDP) technology is helping farmers sustainably save water, fertilizer, time, and money, all while bringing rice to market and safeguarding the environment.
