IFDC Representatives Meet Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo

On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo hosted a New Year’s Greetings at the presidential palace, The Flagstaff House.

The event was attended by top dignitaries like the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mahamadu Bawumia, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Pavelyn Tendai Musaka.

IFDC representatives Dr. Oumou Camara (Deputy Director, IFDC North & West Africa) and Mrs Judith Fagbegnon Kodjo (Acting Country Representative, IFDC Ghana) meet Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo at the presidential palace, The Flagstaff House

Also in attendance were Members of the Diplomatic Community. IFDC was represented by Dr. Oumou Camara (Deputy Director, IFDC North & West Africa) and Mrs Judith Fagbegnon Kodjo (Acting Country Representative, IFDC Ghana). In his introductory remarks, President Akufo-Addo welcomed the Diplomatic Corps, including the new Heads of Mission, to the gathering and wished them successful tours of duty.

The President added that the purpose of the event was to “exchange messages of goodwill and to reaffirm our commitment to the ties of friendship and cooperation that bind our respective countries and peoples together”.
