On April 15, the West Africa Fertilizer Association‘s President, Moussa Diabate, released an open letter revealing the urgent situation faced by the fertilizer sector in West Africa. If commitments to increased fertilizer access in West Africa are not made, the region will see a significant decrease in agricultural production and food security. Exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing global crises, West Africa could see 25 million of its own people face hunger and malnutrition. Read the full open letter below.
