Dr. Mankombu Sambasivan Swaminathan, a luminary in the field of agriculture, and the esteemed Founder, Chairman, and Chief Mentor of the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation passed away in Chennai, India, on September 28, 2023, at the age of 98.
