The Projet d’Appui pour une Gestion Responsable et Intégrée des Sols (PAGRIS) invites qualified and experienced suppliers to submit proposals for the provision, delivery, installation, and commissioning of specialized equipment to strengthen the seed center of the Burundian Office for Environmental Protection (OBPE).
The objective of this assignment is to enhance the technical and operational capacity of the OBPE seed center to ensure the production, processing, conservation, and traceability of high-quality agroforestry seeds. This investment will contribute to sustainable land restoration, improved agricultural productivity, and the long-term availability of quality planting materials in Burundi.
The selected supplier(s) will play a central role in achieving several key results, including: strengthening germination testing capacities through controlled environments and monitoring tools; improving seed moisture management, drying, and storage systems, including the installation of a hybrid solar-powered cold room; enhancing seed cleaning, grading, and quality control processes; supporting nursery production through appropriate materials; and improving seed lot traceability through labeling and management systems.
Suppliers are expected to provide equipment that meets the specified technical requirements, along with associated services such as delivery, installation, training of staff, and warranty support. The procurement covers a range of equipment, including germination chambers, thermo-hygrometers, drying ovens, moisture meters, analytical balances, seed cleaners and graders, sieve sets, planting trays, hybrid cold storage systems, and labeling equipment.
