Dr. Kiran Pavuluri joined IFDC in has a decade of research experience in both academic and industrial settings with a focus on different disciplines of agronomy, including crop nutrition, fertilizers, crop physiology, irrigation, remote sensing, and crop modeling. He has expertise in screening genotypes for nutrient use efficiency, developing and validating crop response models for variable rate nutrient management, and applying crop models to evaluate spatial and temporal variation to understand and assess yield gaps for major crops globally. Dr. Pavuluri has also established the scientific basis for a new multi-nutrient fertilizer for various crops grown in different soil and climatic environments. He has a strong background in statistics and has translated research findings into practical solutions for critical agricultural problems.
