Dr. Gutterson joined the board on July 1, 2024, and has had a distinguished career in agricultural research, economic development, and innovation. Previously, he served as Vice President of Research and Development at DuPont Pioneer and Chief Technology Officer of Corteva Agriscience. He also has extensive experience serving on the boards of CIMMYT, Mendel Biotechnology, GrassRoots Biotechnology, and the CGIAR System Board. Currently, he chairs the board of the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), serves on the boards of Trillium Ag, Meiogenix, and Pluton Bio, and is a Partner and Chief Technology Officer at Radicle Growth, a farmer and climate-focused venture fund.
Dr. Gutterson is dedicated to advancing farmer value through scientific innovation, strategic leadership, and sustainable farming practices. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Yale University and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
