Kiganira Ibrahim is the Chief of Party for the Building Resilience and Inclusive Growth of Highland farming systems for rural Transformation (BRIGHT) project at IFDC. He brings over a decade of experience in sustainable agriculture, rural development, and climate resilience. Kiganira has an academic background in agriculture and climate change, having completed advanced studies in both fields.
His leadership in BRIGHT focuses on rehabilitating degraded watersheds, building household food and nutrition security, improving market access, and enhancing the resilience of highland farming communities. He is also a recognized climate innovator, with one of his projects showcased among the top climate solutions across six countries through the Impulsouth Climate Leadership Program.
