Marcelo Lessa has worked for more than 30 years in various industries on three continents, with the last 20 years focused on agribusiness, food production and retail. With the World Bank Group, he worked for almost 20 years in Africa and Latin America, mainly financing and investing in a wide range of agribusiness and food production industries. As an executive, he was CFO of one of Brazil’s largest companies, Senior Advisor to a private equity fund for new investments and management of existing investments in sustainable food production in the US and Latin America, and most recently CEO of Chile’s largest distributor of agricultural inputs. He has also served as a board member of companies in the agribusiness sector. Marcelo is a Civil Engineer with a Masters in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Finance.
