Dr. Sansan Youl joined IFDC in 2006 and has 30 years of experience in agronomy and research. He currently serves as agronomist and agro-input specialist team leader and Deputy Chief of Party for the Feed the Future EnGRAIS project since March 2018. From 2014-2018, he was the Program Coordinator and ISFM specialist for the USAID C4CP project and IFDC Country Representative for Burkina Faso. Previous work for IFDC has included coordinating efforts on fertilizer recommendation development for major crops in West Africa and managing several IFAD-funded technical assistance grants for IFDC’s Burkina Faso office. Prior to joining IFDC, Youl was a Research Assistant at INERA. Youl has authored and co-authored several book sections, books, and scientific publications and has presented papers at seminars and conferences. Youl holds a PhD in Natural Resources Management from Bobo-Dioulasso Polytechnic University, an Engineer’s degree in Rural Development from Ouagadougou University, and a Master’s degree in Tropical Agronomy from the Ecole Supérieure d’Agronomie Tropicale in Montpellier, France.
