Douglas Kerr joined IFDC as Vice President for Business Development in December 2020. Kerr has almost 20 years of experience in new business development and has worked on program design for multiple clients, including USAID, U.S. Department of State, Millennium Challenge Corporation, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other bilateral donors, such as DFID (now FCDO), Global Affairs Canada, GIZ and KfW, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, World Bank, African Development Bank, and Asian Development Bank.

Before joining IFDC, Kerr was Vice President at ECODIT LLC, and before that he spearheaded business development at the National Cooperative Business Association, Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance, University Research Corporation, Social Impact, Abt Associates, JSI, and Constella Futures (now Palladium).

Kerr received a bachelor’s degree in politics and economics from Warwick University in the United Kingdom, a master’s degree in political science from Acadia University, Nova Scotia, and a Ph.D. (ABD) from the University of Alberta, Canada. Originally from the United Kingdom, Kerr is currently based in Washington, D.C.
