The Coalition of Implementors for Fertilizers and Soil Health (CIFSH) aims to enhance soil health and increase crop productivity in African agroecosystems through responsible fertilizer use.

Africa is currently facing issues with poor soil health, low fertilizer use, and land degradation, all of which affect agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods. CIFSH addresses these problems by coordinating research, development, and outreach efforts, focusing on judicious fertilizer use, to enhance soil health and agricultural resilience to climate and other shocks.

Launched to strengthen sustainable agriculture in Africa, CIFSH leverages collective expertise to address soil health and fertilizer use challenges.

Objectives

  • Implement regional action plans from key summits and declarations.
  • Coordinate stakeholder investments to support sustainable agricultural practices.
