The 2SCALE program wants to incentivise the implementation of new technologies to help farmers drive productivity and profitability and respond to the impact of climate change. This could include innovations that solve pressing problems in the smallholder farmers value chains or contribute to better yields (quantity and quality) of produce within the light of our changing climate. Therefore, and with the objective to promote, facilitate and increase the adoption of sustainable innovations among agrifood value chain actors in 2SCALE partnerships, the program decided to create this first digital innovation challenge.
The just launched challenge is part of the Inclusive Green Innovations cross-cutting theme. It invites entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs that developed digital innovations (such as hyperlocal weather forecasting, mobile finance and traceability solutions) and are interested in scaling them. This is a unique opportunity for these entrepreneurs to reach the 750,000 farmers who are part of the 2SCALE program.
