Ifeoluwa Oyeyemi, the visionary founder and CEO of Farm Help Agro Stores, has become a catalyst for innovation and social impact in the horticulture sub-sector in Nigeria. Born and raised in a small farming community, she witnessed firsthand the challenges local farmers face, from a lack of inputs to limited market access. These experiences ignited a passion within Ifeoluwa to create change, motivating her to venture into agro-dealership. Today, she is one of HortiNigeria’s business champions, leading the WeFarm agribusiness hub in Moniya, Ibadan.

Through the HortiNigeria program, Ifeoluwa received training on financial management and inclusion as well as Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) to establish the innovation hub WeFarm. In 2023, she also collaborated with the Nigerian National Youth Service Corps to train more than 1,000 of its members on these innovations.

Under Ifeoluwa’s leadership, WeFarm has introduced innovative technologies to more than 2,000 youths and 100 women, resulting in increased crop yields, improved access to affordable inputs, and enhanced food and nutrition security.

These initiatives have not only boosted the local economy but have also promoted gender equality by empowering women farmers with knowledge and resources.

Ifeoluwa masterfully utilizes social media and artificial intelligence to boost engagement with her audience and foster innovative farming practices among entrepreneurial farmers in her hub. Her strategic use of AI in crafting compelling advertisements has significantly elevated her business which currently has an annual net profit of €29,280.69 (equivalent to N50,000,000).

Ifeoluwa’s commitment to empowerment extends beyond Moniya, as she actively participates in educational programs to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and environmental stewards. Her efforts have led to a reduction in unemployment and an increase in the use of sustainable agricultural practices, marking a positive change in her community.

HortiNigeria (2021-2025) is implemented through a consortium led by IFDC that includes East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer (EWS-KT)Wageningen University and Research (WUR), and KIT Royal Tropical Institute and is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria.
