This edition highlights a new strategic partnership aimed at enhancing soil health and supporting 1.5 million farmers, alongside stories demonstrating how innovative technologies, local solutions, and capacity-strengthening initiatives are helping communities build more resilient agricultural systems.

The newsletter features inspiring examples of women and youth leading change across the region. From empowering rural women through soil enhancement initiatives to strengthening agricultural entrepreneurship among youth in Northern Nigeria, these stories illustrate how Soil Values is creating opportunities for more inclusive and sustainable rural development while fostering new ambitions for the next generation.
Innovations for Soil Health and Sustainable Agriculture
Discover practical solutions improving soil fertility and productivity, including the use of Barbary Plante technology, the promotion of organo-mineral fertilizers, and the restoration of soil health through locally sourced inputs in Niger. In addition, the newsletter highlights the SoilSmart online course, which equips agricultural extension agents and partners with the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable soil management practices.
Strengthening Partnerships Across the Sahel
This edition also showcases Soil Values’ growing engagement through participation in major agricultural events and partnerships.
