The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is pleased to announce the successful completion of significant safety enhancements at our pilot plant facilities. This marks the end of the second phase of our commitment to improving safety measures and providing a secure environment for staff and partners. As a result, plant operations have now recommenced.

In December 2023, we began improving our facilities to uphold safety and environmental standards.

These physical safety enhancements are complete, and IFDC has finalized a startup plan for a smooth resumption of operations.

The completion of this phase represents a critical investment in the future of IFDC’s work at its headquarters in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and into pioneering technological advancements in fertilizer production.

We are immensely grateful for the continued support from our industry clients, partners, stakeholders, and the donor community. Your support has been instrumental in achieving this milestone, and we look forward to advancing our mission of driving agricultural innovation and sustainability.
